The Garmin Instinct 2 is a smart and rugged running/outdoor watch allowing you to express your personal style and track your favorite sportsactivities and health condition.
Garmin Instinct 2S measures 40 mm in diameter.
This version is a Solar version which means that solar panels have been integrated in the display to extend battery life. In addition its also a Tactical Edition, which means that it offers several military features, among others Kill Switch, options for using the watch together with night vision googles, stealth mode + more.

New and improved display
All Instinct 2 versions have been designed with a new display with a higher resolution than previously. This makes the screen clearer in all light, also in bright sunshine.
VO2Max-estimate
Garmin Instinct 2 has been equipped with Garmins recognized VO2Max calculator which measures the current state of your shape.
More activities
Garmin Instinct 2 has a lot more activity profiles than its predecessor. Among other features, the watch offers indoor climbing, MTB, winter sports, golf, virtual running, yoga, pilates and HIIT – incl. EMOM (every minute on the minute) and AMRAP (as many rounds as possible)
Sleep Score
Garmin Instinct 2 provides insights into your sleep. It will tell you how much time you have spent in the different stages of your sleep, and you are provided with a number from 0-100, showing the quality of your sleep. In addition it also provides tips for how you can improve that number.
Design update incl. QuickFit watch strap
The design of the watch is slightly more round and thin. Its also more slim but it has still preserved its masculine and robust look. Now Instinct is also available in a regular size and a small (S). In addition its also quick and easy to change watch straps as Instinct has also been designed with the Garmin QuickFit-system.
Endless battery life in Smartwatch-mode
The Garmin Instinct 2 solar panels have enough power to charge the watch in Smartwatch-mode. Of course this requires you to be outdoors in sunshine but in these conditions you are provided with endless battery life.
Garmin Pay
Garmin Instinct 2 also offers Garmin Pay, so you can leave your wallet at home and pay with your watch instead. You can register your credit card on the watch, so you can make payments – also without having your phone nearby. And don´t worry, you can still install a code, so if the watch should falll into the wrong hands, it can´t be used for making payments.
ConnectIQ
Thanks to Garmins Connect IQ you can design your watch exactly to your liking. You can get watch dials, widgets, change data fields and download apps for your watch. You have a multitude of options for personalizing your watch from a rich variety of different downloads.
Incident- and fall detection
If you have an accident and take a fall during running, hiking or biking, your watch can via your phone send a message to a list of contacts which will show your GPS-coordinates and let them know that you have been in an accident.
Intensity Minutes 2.0
Most of us don´t track our activities during the day. Perhaps you go to the supermarket, cycle to work, vacuum or perhaps you wonder how many stairs you have climbed during the day. Thanks to Intensity Minutes 2.0 you can retrieve a lot of additional info on all activities you normally don´t track.
Hydration, menstrual cycle and pregnancy tracker
With the Garmin Instinct 2 you can register your daily water consumption, and you can schedule reminders for driking water to prevent you from getting dehydrated. In addition you can also track your menstrual cycle and possibly your pregnancy to discover specific patterns, etc..
Health Monitoring Activity
Thanks to this new feature, Garmin Instinct 2.0 will allow you to get a fast (only takes two minutes) analysis of your health data. Your heart rate, heart rate variation, the oxygen saturation of your blood, your respiration data and your stress levels – all can be exported as a PDF which you can share with your doctor among others.
Under-water heart rate monitor
The Garmin Instinct 2 heart rate monitor can also be used under water allowing you to retrieve your heart rate data if you are swimming, surfing or doing other things.
Instinct 2 – Other features
Garmin Instinct 2 also works as an activity tracker. It has an integrated accelerometer, which measures number of steps and how many stairs you climb. In addition Instinct 2 also works as a Smartwatch which provides notifications on incoming calls, text messages or other messages from your phone via bluetooth. Of course the watch also has a stopwatch, timer and alarm clock. In addition you also get info on sunrise and sundown and the watch will automatically convert to summer- and winter time. If you travel to a different time zone, the watch will automatically adjust thanks to its GPS.
