With the new Training Readiness feature, you will be informed whether you are ready to train hard, or if it might be better to take it easy. You get a value between 1-100, which is made from your sleep quality, previous training sessions, and your HRV status. 

Morning Report

The Morning Report gives you a report every morning about the day’s activities. The report also includes how you slept, and for example your “training readiness”. 

Real-Time Stamina

Real-Time Stamina constantly gives you a number of how much energy you have left in the tank. The feature can both show how long you can keep going at the speed you are running at the moment, but it can also say that you have 50% left. 

Integrated watt data

The integrated watt data allows you to follow a different value when running. Watt data takes into account the slope of the road, so you can try to run at a constant intensity. 

NAVIGATION, MAPS AND POPULARITY ROUTES

With Garmin Forerunner 955 you always have navigation on your wrist. The topographic map works like a small navigation with roads and points of interest (POIs). With built-in map function, it offers many useful opportunities that can open new doors for your training.

With Turn-by-Turn navigation, it is easy to run or cycle after a route and a point of interest. Navigate as you know it from car navigation and much more.

SATELLITE CONNECTIONS

With the Garmin Forerunner 955, you will be amazed at how much the watch can track. Forerunner 955 has multi-network satellite reception and receives GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo satellite connections. As a new feature, Forerunner 955 allows you to turn on Multiband GPS, thereby obtaining satellite connections from several different systems at once. This improves accuracy, but also consumes more battery. 

GPS connection can struggle to provide accurate measurements and secure connection alone. With GLONASS (Russian satellite connection) and Galileo (European satellite connection), it ensures more accurate connection and secure tracking. 

SAFETY AND TRACKING FEATURES

Garmin Forerunner 955 now comes with incident detection for selected sports activities.

Turn on incident detection, and add your emergency contacts so they can receive direct messages and location if an accident occurs.

LiveTrack allows you to share your position during training and competition, so friends and family can follow you.

With Group LiveTrack, you can maintain connection and positions with your training partners and other participants during training and competition.
