What is new in the ASICS GEL-Cumulus 22? 
With the GEL-Cumulus 22, Asics has transformed the shoe’s upper by making it in a new and more breathable mesh material, which is combined with a seamless 3D print construction. 
The new upper provides enhanced support and comfort for your feet.

On top of this, the shoe’s midsole now comes in a softer version than the predecessor, as it has a mix of both the FlyteFoam and FlyteFoam Propel. 
Under the heel, the sole has been redesigned to give a softer landing. 
Therefore, the new heel design has a softer midsole and deeper flex grooves at the front foot to deliver a softer run.
Moreover, a durable hard-wearing rubber outsole compound has been placed in key contact areas to give the shoe better and longer durability.

Upper
The shoe’s mesh upper is lighter than the Cumulus 21, and at the same time feels more flexible. 
Also, the stripes on the upper give increased support to the midfoot. 
Due to the upper’s very breathable material, the shoe is great for hot days, as it provides more air and better ventilation for your feet.

Outsole
The shoe’s outsole is made from a durable rubber material that has been placed in the key contact areas. 
The outsole is divided into different zones, which allows the shoe to correctly guide your foot to run in a neutral running style.

Midsole
The Asics GEL-Cumulus is designed with a midsole made from FlyteFoam and FlyteFoam Propel. 
The FlyteFoam Propel gives the shoe some extra bounce and return of energy at the top layer of the shock absorption. FlyteFoam is also located in the midsole and ensures that the Cumulus 22 keeps its shape throughout your run.
